About Bumpy
What does Bumpy cost?
Nothing. Bumpy is free, with no in-app purchases. If you start using it while it’s free, it stays free for you for as long as we offer it, even if we later charge new users, and that includes anything we add later. Our terms have the details.
Which phones does Bumpy work on?
iPhone, with iOS 17 or later. There isn’t an Android version.
Is Bumpy a medical app?
No. Bumpy is a keepsake: it turns your photos into a film of your pregnancy. It doesn’t give medical advice or measure your bump, and its week labels are simply counted from your due date.
Do I need an account?
No. There’s nothing to sign up for. Your photos stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud.
Taking photos
How often should I take a photo?
As often as you like. Once a week is the classic, but daily works, and so does whenever you remember. Bumpy lines them all up either way. You can set a daily or weekly reminder in Settings.
How do I get my photos to line up?
Stand in the same spot, in similar light. The camera shows a faint outline of your last photo and tells you when you’ve matched it. Bumpy lines up the rest.
Can I change a photo’s date?
Yes. Open the photo and change its date. Week labels are counted from your due date.
Your film
How do I save or share my film?
Open Film Studio, pick your captions, typeface, format and speed, then export. Save the film to Photos or share it straight from Bumpy, in up to 4K.
Your photos and iCloud
Can anyone else see my photos?
No. They stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, and we never see them. Our privacy policy has the details.
What happens if I get a new iPhone?
Sign in with the same Apple account, make sure iCloud is on, and install Bumpy. Your photos come back on their own.
Bumpy says it’s waiting for iCloud
Your photos are safe on your iPhone. Bumpy copies them to iCloud as soon as you’re online, signed in and have space.
